Description
Carnauba Wax is a plant-based wax obtained from the leaves of the Copernicia cerifera, commonly known as the Carnauba Palm. This resilient tree, native to Brazil, naturally produces a protective wax coating during the dry season to retain moisture. Recognized as the “Queen of Waxes”, it stands out as one of the hardest natural waxes available today.
Due to its firm texture and water-resistant properties, carnauba wax serves as an excellent vegan alternative to beeswax in DIY skincare, including balms, creams, and salves.
Packaged in convenient small flakes inside a resealable craft bag, this wax is easy to measure, store, and incorporate into homemade beauty recipes. It has a light brown to yellow hue with a subtly sweet, earthy aroma.
When substituting carnauba wax for beeswax, keep in mind that it requires a higher melting point of 179.6°F, compared to beeswax at 144°F. You may also use half the quantity of carnauba wax when replacing beeswax in formulations.
Net Weight: 16 oz.
